The main purpose of Syngenta's experimental site in Holambra is to develop research on agricultura! products. The new R&D center designed by Oliveira Cotta hosts laboratories for seed analysis, office areas and an auditorium. The building concept incorporated colors and texturas found on the agricultura! area of the site, enhancing the harmony between nature and the built environment. Additionally, the building facades were carefully designed considering solar shading devices which helped to block direct solar radiation while enhancing daylighting on the work environments.
