Centro Cultural Coreano

Korean Cultural Center

Winner of an invited competition, the project was developed in collaboration with Padovani Arquitetos and is located on Avenida Paulista, one of the city’s main cultural axes. Implemented on the ground floor of an iconic modernist building, the project is a retrofit that reinterprets wood — a defining element of traditional Korean architecture — in a clear and adaptable structure, responding to the multifunctional nature of the program.

The main entrance, previously a balcony, was transformed into the reception of the cultural center. The double-height ground floor also accommodates a flexible space for exhibitions, performances, and events, alongside an experimental kitchen. The upper level contains administrative areas, a library, and classrooms, bringing together tradition and innovation in a single cohesive environment.
